Investing In Our Youth (IIOY) is dedicated to ensuring the safety, participation, and empowerment of children and young people, especially the most vulnerable. We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and violence, placing the wellbeing of children and youth at the core of our values.
Guided by the 10 National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, we have policies, procedures and screening measures for staff and volunteers. Our commitment includes promoting cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people, as well as those from diverse backgrounds and with disabilities.
The 10 National Principle for Child Safe Organisations
The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations provide a consistent approach to embedding a child safe culture and practices in organisations. Investing In Our youth is commited to:

Processes to respond to complaints and concerns are child focused.
Staff & volunteers are equipped with the knowledge, skills and awareness to keep children and young people safe through ongoing training and education.
Physical and online environments promote safety and wellbeing while minimising the opportunity for children and young people to be harmed.
